Covid-19 Vaccination **New booking platform accuBook**

The Practice is starting to invite patients for their covid-19 vaccination via accuBook. If you have a mobile phone recorded with us, you will receive a message inviting you to make an appointment. If you do not have a mobile phone, please be reassured we are continuing to call patients when eligible. For further details on this service please visit our Practice information page, click here.

Welcome to Student Nurses

The Practice is passionate about training and we would like to welcome three new Nurses from the University of the West of England Bristol. These Nurses will be with the Practice for a period of 8 weeks observing clinics to hone their skills further and will be supervised at all times.

Covid-19 Vaccination Programme

The Practice is progressing well with our Covid-19 vaccination programme. We are currently vaccinating priority groups 1-5 as shown in the image below.

We would like to inform you that when your priority group is being contacted regarding their Covid-19 vaccination, we will either text or call you directly to offer you an appointment, usually within a week.

Some patients may also receive a NHS England letter inviting them for their Covid-19 vaccination, if you have already booked an appointment with us please attend that appointment and do not book another appointment at an alternative location, as this will result in non-attendance and wasted NHS resources.

If you haven’t yet been contacted by us, we would like to reassure you that we will contact each eligible patient to offer a Covid-19 vaccination with us. The letter merely offers you a choice as to where you would like to be vaccinated.

For further details on the eligible groups click here.

Thank you for your support.

The Park Run Resolution

Join us for (not)parkrun. Walk, jog or run, get active and have fun!

(not)Parkrun is an alternative way for people to participate in a 5k walk, jog or run, in the absence of the usual Saturday morning events. We also recently added the facility for junior park runners registered to our Sunday events to get involved too and log a 2k (not)parkrun. We want to continue to support everyone to be active, social and outdoors together, in person or virtually.

It’s not about walking, jogging, or running at your regular parkrun location, and definitely not necessarily doing so on a Saturday or a Sunday morning.

And it’s not a replacement for parkrun, or in any way planning for a ‘new normal’ where parkrun events don’t exist (we definitely will be back).

(not)parkrun is an opportunity to walk, jog, or run, on a route of your choosing, wherever you are in the world and following appropriate guidelines for physical activity wherever you’re based.

You can record up to one (not)parkrun per day, with your best time each week included in the weekly results table.

There’s no need to re-register to take part in (not)parkrun, your existing parkrun profile will allow you to log and view your (not)parkruns.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re not already registered for parkrun, or haven’t been to a Saturday morning event before. Everyone is welcome.

Whilst parkrun has been suspended we’ve been finding different ways to keep the parkrun community engaged: from quizzes to the School of parkrun, Instagram and Facebook Live interviews and warm-ups on YouTube.
